Lots To Love Giveaway Winner

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

What a great day to celebrate love! I hope each of you know that you are loved today. With 3 nieces and a nephew this day was full of laughter at our house. We had a very special Valentine's Day party complete with crafts, balloons, heart shaped plates, Valentine cups, pizza and cupcakes! It always melts me when I hear them say "this is the best Valentine's Day ever!" They are 4, 3, and 2, so they don't really remember Valentine's past, but the excitement of memories they are beginning to create now are wonderful.

Well, my first giveaway has ended and a winner has been selected...thanks to the help of my very eager 4 year old niece Savannah. Congratulations, Bethany!  Thank you to all who participated. That was a fun way to celebrate Valentine's Day! I'm sure I'll do more in the future so keep an eye out.

Keep your love on!
xoxo

Lots to Love

It's that wonderful time of the year...the week of Valentine's Day! The time we are reminded to tell people that we love and cherish them! I absolutely love this holiday. It's as wonderful as Thanksgiving is to me. Celebrating love never gets old.

Everyone likes to celebrate the day differently...if they celebrate at all. The day gets a bad rap by some for various reasons...it can be a reminder of singleness, considered a consumer holiday (but aren't most holidays?) and more. For those who do celebrate it may be a party, dinner date, gift exchange.

Put aside your marital status or your feelings about the holiday if just for this one year. I challenge you to choose to celebrate love this week. Call a family member that you haven't talked to in a while just to tell them that you were thinking about them. Send a card to a friend. Take a treat to work to share with your co-workers. Pay for a stranger's coffee. Get your sister these earrings or this watch (especially if I'm your sister! LOL! just kidding...sorta). Surprise your kids by picking them up from school and spend a couple extra hours with them. Leave a "love" note on a car (it can be someone you know or someone you don't know). Have fun with it!

If you are getting a gift for someone special in your life, I would encourage you to read my post The Art of Gift Giving. Do something special and maybe even a little different than the usual. Flowers and candy are great, but just a touch of creativity goes a long way! And remember not all gifts cost money.
