I was well into my 20s before I knew what a skin tag* was called. I had one but they aren't harmful so I just completely ignore it. A few later, I have a few. Then as I started using doTERRA oils for everything and anything I could think of. It got me thinking that there must be some sort of remedy for getting rid of skin tags. Aaaaannnnd...there is. It was a super easy remedy and I thought it would be to good to be true. All it takes is a drop of Oregano Oil on the tag 3 times a day. Sounds too easy, right? But I had the Oregano Oil, so I was going to at least try it....to prove it wrong if anything. I didn't want to smell like Oregano all day and since skin tags are not a danger to my health, I just committed to putting it on at night before bed. I was going to test it on my 4 tags. Well, after 2 weeks, 2 of them are completely gone. Huh? How did that happen? Seriously, 1 drop of Oregano Oil on the tag every night made them go away? Yep, they did. The other 2 are progressing and think it'll be just another couple days before those are gone. Amazing! I wouldn't have believed it unless I tested it out for myself...yes, sometimes I'm still skeptical on the power of oils, but that is changing every time they prove their strength on all my experiments.
Oregano Oil is an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, antioxidant, anti-parasitic, antiseptic, anti-viral and disinfectant. Oregano Oil is very potent when used for respiratory ailments, such as colds, flu, sore throat, asthma and bronchitis. It helps to relieve congestion, loosen phlegm and quiet coughs. And you can use it for cooking.
Skin Tag Removal Instructions:
Apply a drop of Oregano oil to the skin tag three times a day. It may burn for a few minutes because of the strength of the Oregano oil but remember, you want it gone and it will be worth it! Be careful not to get the Oregano on the skin around the tag but if you do, rub some coconut oil (or a carrier oil) on the area. You can also mix a little Lavender Oil into the coconut oil to soothe the skin.
It can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months for the tag to disappear but it will happen. You may not notice any change at first but then the tag will suddenly be darker and then you will disappear a short time later.
*Skin tags are invariably benign - non cancerous - tumors of the skin which cause no symptoms, unless it is repeatedly rubbed or scratched, as may happen with clothing, jewelry, or when shaving. Very large skin tags may burst under pressure.
